  1. you do a great job with TO LIVE A LIE and, judging from the tracklist, that would also be a really nice comp.! but what I don't understand is why it's just ripped with 128 kbits? compared to a real record even mp3s ripped with 320 kbits sound pale but (with very few exceptions) rips with 128 kbits always sound weak/flat?

  2. I think the reason behind the 128kbps was the fact that I didn't have all these in high quality format, and probably also to save file space. I can grab a physical copy of this an rip it, what kbps do you prefer? A lot of the time I put them in at 192, because the filesize seems small enough and the quality is pretty good... I really should have done that or 160 for this one. Should I do a 320kps rip?

  3. Also I prefer CBR files but for some reason the program I was using only let me run a VBR.

  4. a 320 kbits rip would be highly appreciated!

I use the basic version of FreeRip. the basic version is freeware and covers pretty much everything you need to cover to rip everything.

    you can check it here:

  5. I have used FreeRip before, I switched to Winamp to rip when I bought Pro for some reason.. there was something about the newer build of FreeRip that I wasn't into but cannot remember now.

  6. I switched to Winamp to rip when I bought Pro for some reason...

what can one do with winamp pro one couldn't do with freerip

  7. Its really about the same, just Freerip started popping up ads or something like that so I stopped using it. I'll redownload it and give it a chance.

  8. I think I just trashed my ripping capabilities. The new version of FreeRip just didn't work, it didn't see the CD in the drive. I tried up upgrade the LAME on Winamp and it ripped but the files are corrupted in some manner.

  9. I´ve already ripped this Cd with 320 kbits and I´ve even tagged the songs.
If I´m allowed I´m going to post it on my blog!

  10. Please do, thank you! Share the link with me and I'll include it in this thread.
